Pr. Ben George Koshy, affectionately known as "Ronymon," was born on May 30th, 1970, in Ranny, located in the state of Kerala, India, to Prof. T. C. Koshy and Chinamma Koshy. He was the second child among three boys in their family.
Pr. Ben successfully pursued a Civil Engineering degree in Bangalore, India, excelling in his career while actively engaging in church ministries where he discovered a profound calling from the Lord, particularly in music and teaching the Word of God.
He married the love of his life, Ani, in 1995, and together they were blessed with a son, Alfin, in 1998. In 1999, he journeyed to the United States to deepen his understanding of God's word. He earned a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies/Music from Christian Life College, a Master's in Theological Studies (Divinity) from Trinity International University, and was ordained as an Assemblies of God minister in 2003. His lifelong love for learning and knowledge led him to also earn a Master's in Religious Studies/Christian Counseling from Liberty University, and an MBA from the University of Houston.
He faithfully rendered his service to United Airlines for 15 years after which he retired from his position and then joined Labcorp. He remained steadfast in his commitment to the Lord and founded "His Voice," a music ministry dedicated to sharing God’s influence and impact in a profound manner. His musical arrangements consistently aimed to convey the message of our Lord through inspired lyrics and melodious harmonies.
Most importantly, Pastor Ben had a deep passion and talent for understanding, sharing, and teaching God's word, serving and impacting the lives of many as a Pastor at several Chicago Pentecostal churches, with his final role at Mission Church (IPC Chicago).
He was gifted with extraordinary intellect and abilities yet always lived in humble dependence and service to the Lord.
Pr. Ben peacefully crossed into eternal home on July 17th, 2024 surrounded by his wife and son. Although Pr. Ben Koshy's time on earth was brief, we take comfort in knowing that he lived his life joyfully, achieving God's purpose for him through his presence and work.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ani; devoted son, Alfin; parents, Prof. T. C. and Chinamma Koshy; older brother, Dr. Alex Koshy, and family; and younger brother, Cecil Koshy, and his family.
We will surely miss our dear Ben, a beloved dad, husband, brother, son, uncle, Pastor, colleague, and loving friend to many. However, we are full of hope, joy, and peace, knowing that his real life has just begun, and we will all be united with him one day!
